[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-321) Expression Builder in the Transformation Editor does not allow negative numeric constant values
by Steven Hawkins (Commented) (JIRA)
Steven Hawkins commented on TEIIDDES-321:
-----------------------------------------
I should add that there is a minor follow on issue. In top level transformation queries with literal project columns typed as biginteger, float, short, etc. as soon as the expression value editor is run the value will require reconciliation because the value will be parsed as the wider parsing type. In other words, while the value is implicitly convertable, we still require the user to put an explicit convert.

> Unable to input negative constant values into the expression editor. no errors or warnings occur when attempting. When pressing the hyphen key to input a negative, nothing is entered as a value. This affects TIMESTAMPADD() as an example. Without being able to enter a negative number, there is not a way to subtract from a date/time/timestamp value.
> Workaround is to manually enter the negative value into the transformation SQL.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1180) Manage MEDs Dialog Should Not Have A Browse Button
by Dan Florian (Created) (JIRA)
Manage MEDs Dialog Should Not Have A Browse Button
--------------------------------------------------
Key: TEIIDDES-1180
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-1180
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Task
Components: Modeling
Affects Versions: 7.6
Reporter: Dan Florian
Assignee: Mark Drilling
Fix For: 7.6
To display the Manage MEDs Dialog, you select a model in the Model Explorer and use the appropriate context menu. Once displayed the dialog allows other models to be selected. If another model is selected using the "Browse..." button of the dialog, the MED changes already made to the previously selected model are lost. The best approach would be to just remove the "Browse..." button and only let the dialog pertain to the initially selected model.
