[JBoss JIRA] Created: (TEIIDDES-1041) Change Designer's "Teiid Preview Driver" name to "Teiid Driver (default)"
by Barry LaFond (JIRA)
Change Designer's "Teiid Preview Driver" name to "Teiid Driver (default)"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: TEIIDDES-1041
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-1041
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Data Preview, Datatools Integration, VDB & Execution
Affects Versions: 7.4
Reporter: Barry LaFond
Assignee: Barry LaFond
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 7.5, 7.4.2
There is unneeded confusion around the generated Teiid Driver labeled: Teiid Preview Driver
This driver is actually used when preview AND when executing a VDB from the Workspace.
Users can create their own Teiid Driver instances and customize the names, but the "default" driver that's created needs a better name.

> Teiid Designer "Import from JDBC" for SQL Server only shows dbo schema under the "Select Data Objects" screen. If a SQL Server database has multiple schemas underneath it, the importer will not show them, so you will be unable to choose and import the tables under any other schema besides dbo. I've attached a printscreen document explaining further.

[JBoss JIRA] Commented: (TEIIDDES-1026) Teiid Designer "Import from JDBC" for SQL Server only shows dbo schema under the "Select Data Objects" screen
by Barry LaFond (JIRA)
Barry LaFond commented on TEIIDDES-1026:
----------------------------------------
SQL2005SchemaLoader class in DTP is executing a different query:
select
CATALOG_NAME as 'TABLE_CATALOG', SCHEMA_NAME as 'TABLE_SCHEM'
from bqt2.INFORMATION_SCHEMA.SCHEMATA
ORDER BY TABLE_SCHEM
Designer is currently sending queries for getSchema() like:
select
sys.database_principals.default_schema_name 'TABLE_CATALOG', sys.database_principals.name 'TABLE_SCHEM'
from sys.database_principals
where not sid is null order by sys.database_principals.name
