When ever data preview is performed, the query plan view will display the plan without the user having to do anything. Also, if the user is in DTP, they will be able to obtain the query plan without actually running the query. The Execution Plan View is updated with each query execution in DTP. The "Teiid_7.x > Get Execution Plan" action remains in the context menu. This request has come up couple times from users as it is most important to see the query plan while developing the transformation and see where the significant bottlenecks are.
