[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1811) Can't import Procedure parameters to source model in Teiid Designer
by Jing Li (JIRA)
Jing Li created TEIIDDES-1811:
---------------------------------
Summary: Can't import Procedure parameters to source model in Teiid Designer
Key: TEIIDDES-1811
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-1811
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Import/Export
Affects Versions: 8.1
Environment: Windows, eclipse JUNO, Teiid Designer 8.2 alpha1
Reporter: Jing Li
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 8.2
Usually if we have some changes in source VDB, after we update the source model in designer, we will see the changes.
But for procedure, if we add a new procedure in source VDB, after update SM, we only can see the procedure, but can't see the paramenters of that procedure. We have to manually add them.
In this way, in the future, every time when we update our SM, our procedures parameters will be gone, we have to add them manually.
According to Ramesh -- "That sounds like Designer bug to me. You should log a JIRA with Teiid Designer."
Thanks.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1810) Support larger statistic values
by Steven Hawkins (JIRA)
Steven Hawkins updated TEIIDDES-1810:
-------------------------------------
Assignee: (was: Steven Hawkins)
Teiid now supports values larger than max int for table cardinality and column null/distinct counts. For Designer to convey a larger value to Teiid we need to choose one of:
- a new index file format version, such that we look for long, instead of int values where appropriate
- use the Teiid hack of encoding larger long values as a float with a negative sign bit, then we'll change the index loading logic on our side as appropriate
- use an extension property with loading logic changes
> Support larger statistic values

> The table/column stats are currently limited to max int (2^31 -1) values.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1749) Extension Properties in Table Editor incorrect
by Mark Drilling (JIRA)
Mark Drilling resolved TEIIDDES-1749.
-------------------------------------
Resolution: Done
Now saves the ModelExtensionPropertyDescriptor map on the ModelRowElement, since the specific descriptor is required in order to set the extension property. (Cannot use the table model ids as with the other properties)

> * Created 2 or more tables in relational model
> * Edit table 1's "relational:Native Query" extension property (SELECT * FROM FOOBAR)
> * Save
> * Open/Select Table Editor and select BASE TABLES tab
> * Note that "relational:Native Query" property is same for both tables
> Looks like the ModelExtensionPropertyDescriptor is caching an EObject and the call to getPropertyValue() will return the same value for ALL EObjects rather than having a unique EObject per descriptor

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1809) WAR File (REST, SOAP) Creation usability enhancements
by Ramesh Reddy (JIRA)
Ramesh Reddy created TEIIDDES-1809:
--------------------------------------
Summary: WAR File (REST, SOAP) Creation usability enhancements
Key: TEIIDDES-1809
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-1809
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Enhancement
Reporter: Ramesh Reddy
I have seen so many time in the community, where users are confused in asking them to create JNDI file to VDB and deploy the VDB and WAR file. I have two suggestions in this regard to help improve the situation
1) Instead of (or in addition) asking to enter {REPLACE_WITH_VDB_JNDI_NAME}, offer to create data source to the VDB. If the server is attached, you have all details, or pop up create datasource dialog to create.
2) Instead of (or in addition) to saving the WAR file, offer to deploy directly to the server, that will save time and would seem seamless operation we can provide.
3) I often find myself struck in figuring out what is WSDL Endpoint or what are REST endpoints exposed by the WAR deployed, it there is any help we can show at the end of this dialog box (if they choose to deploy) that would save time in them figuring out (going to documentation etc).
