> 1) Followed *Model JDBC Source* action set

> 2) Followed *Model Flat File Source" action set
> * re-used project
> 3) Wanted to add Flat File source to VDB in Step 1) and the action set didn't account for that need.
> Maybe the Create VDB wizard could use a "Edit" button that brings up the Create VDB wizard in EDIT mode and allow users to "Add" models to VDB (not remove or sync)

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1794) Designer support for global temporary tables
by Steven Hawkins (JIRA)
Steven Hawkins commented on TEIIDDES-1794:

Effectively yes until the Teiid side was changed to recognize that property.

> Teiid has added support for a global temporary tables - they share a common definition, but each session has their own instance. Internally this is modeled as a virtual table (without a transformation) with a table type of "TemporaryTable" (int code 6). If you provided matching index metadata we would recognize the entry as a global temporary table.
> Alternatively extension metadata could be used.

by Barry LaFond (JIRA)
Barry LaFond updated TEIIDDES-1933:
-----------------------------------
Attachment: guides-view-labels.png
Added labeling for existing property values. User defines project, imports source model, defines VDB, then they have context for what they've done in the guide.
Also added Edit VDB action which just opens up the existing VDB (if defined) or throws up a VDB selection dialog

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1794) Designer support for global temporary tables
by Barry LaFond (JIRA)
Barry LaFond commented on TEIIDDES-1794:
----------------------------------------
So on the Designer side, we would need to have a mechanism to identify it as a "Global Temp Table" and our RuntimeAdapter (indexer) needs to use a new table type integer value (6) instead of Table/View/Procedure...etc.
I'm hoping that if we use an Extension property that even if it ends up in the metadata, that Teiid would ignore it?

Steven Hawkins commented on TEIIDDES-1794:
------------------------------------------
1) We need some kind of metadata flag or a different table type (6) to convey that it's a global temporary table.
2) ignore/grey out, yes
