> Per TEIIDDES-1794 there are more areas Designer needs to add support for temporary tables:
> ... the full array of temp table stuff we currently support is:
> * Teiid global temporary table (a virtual entry - which from an engine perspective can be on any model type)
> * Teiid temporary table (not a schema entry in the design time metadata, scoped to a session/block)
> * Teiid temporary table backed by a physical table (not a schema entry in the design time metadata, scoped to a session/block - the physical table could be a temporary one)
> Eventually we would also like to have an ease of use path to simply create a teiid temporary table and have the backing table created on a source automatically - similar to the data shipment join temporary table creation.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2063) Is there a way to provide option to change views when source data type is changed
by Barry LaFond (JIRA)
Barry LaFond commented on TEIIDDES-2063:
----------------------------------------
We do have a dependency framework that has the ability to discover related columns. Gets complicated with the data type changes need to get reflected at each level of SQL so the "convert()" functions get properly set-up and the SQL revalidated.

> Also at issue is when a data source column type needs to be changed in the source model, but the views also need to be changed. Is there a way to replicate the change upstream (so to speak) to all the dependent views?

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2065) Add support for Accumulo Translator
by Ramesh Reddy (JIRA)
Ramesh Reddy created TEIIDDES-2065:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Add support for Accumulo Translator
Key: TEIIDDES-2065
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-2065
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: Import/Export
Reporter: Ramesh Reddy
Teiid added Accumulo translator in Teiid 8.7 version. This translator comes with few extension metadata properties. This translator also supports import of metadata if the data is defined in the Accumulo.
Designer needs to add, "Model Extension Defs" and validate the import process through Teiid Connection Importer.
BTW, I tried with latest 8.4 nightly it did not work, and did not give any errors out. Just said could not create VDB, no error logs in server. I added the extension model defn manually.
The translator docs can be found at https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/TEIID/Apache+Accumulo+Translator
