[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2464) NPE trying to connect to Teiid server for importing
by Ramesh Reddy (JIRA)
Ramesh Reddy updated TEIIDDES-2464:
-----------------------------------
Workaround Description: Ditch the in-built driver, add a new driver definition and choose the REAL Teiid driver from the Teiid distribution.

by Ramesh Reddy (JIRA)
Ramesh Reddy commented on TEIIDDES-2464:
----------------------------------------
I know the above code looks like the culprit code is in Teiid runtime, but I can not seem to match the line# in Teiid project, Teiid Designer must have forked and changed the code locally.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2464) NPE trying to connect to Teiid server for importing
by Ramesh Reddy (JIRA)
Ramesh Reddy created TEIIDDES-2464:
--------------------------------------
Summary: NPE trying to connect to Teiid server for importing
Key: TEIIDDES-2464
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-2464
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Import/Export
Affects Versions: 9.0
Environment: Fedora 20
Reporter: Ramesh Reddy
Priority: Critical
I tried this using latest JBoss Developer Studio 8.0.0.GA, I suspect Teiid Designer version is 9.0. I updated it through JBoss Central. There is an issue with about dialog (may be another issue)
I have DV 6.1.0 running locally, trying to import metadata using JDBC importer from DV 6.1.0. After plugging in the VDB name, user/password I see this below exception. Can't get any further.
BTW, what AD-HOC driver when Teiid is selected, it does not let you define any properties either. Looks like this needs to be removed.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2458) Wrong "name-in-source" property value for imported tables in Source model (JDBC importer, Sybase 15 Database)
by Barry LaFond (JIRA)
Barry LaFond commented on TEIIDDES-2458:
----------------------------------------
[~jdurani] When you imported from JDBC, did you check the check the *Include Catalog for Fully Qualified Names"? This should include your "dbo" path in Name In Source.
I've attached screen shots of my example using a SQL Server schema.. note the *dbo* in the tree and the resulting *dbo* in the resulting NIS.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2453) Kerberos support for Connection Profile wizard
by Ramesh Reddy (JIRA)
Ramesh Reddy commented on TEIIDDES-2453:
----------------------------------------
[~sjanani] From the above comment (one previous to the last one) you already told that you created the model from DDL. Then you can create the VDB using that model. What is not possible currently is doing a preview of data in the Designer based on that model. Because Designer is not currently equipped to participate in kerberos.
Once you create VDB and deploy it the server along with correct kerberos configuration for Cloudera, then you can write any application using JDBC connection for Teiid (btw, this needs to be sending the kerberos token see http://teiid.blogspot.com/2014/07/kerberos-authentication-with-teiid.html ) then that token will be sent all the way to Coludera.
