[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2453) Kerberos support for Connection Profile wizard
by Corey Barrett (JIRA)
Corey Barrett commented on TEIIDDES-2453:
-----------------------------------------
[~rareddy] We contacted Redhat Support at your advice. However they do not support kerberos connection from vdb to datasource, only support kerberos jdbc connection to VDB.
"What Ramesh mentioned in [1] is about Kerberos configurations to VDB and REST services of VDB which we do support.
However, We do not support Kerberos connections to data sources for now, since JDV 6.0 is based on EAP 6.1.1, JDV 6.1 is based on EAP 6.3.3, and both do not support Kerberos connections to data sources..."
Their connection is to make use of username and password authentication which is not an option that is available. Kerberos is only option.
Any ideas?

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2468) Issues with setting and connecting to DefaultServer
by Mark Drilling (JIRA)
Mark Drilling updated TEIIDDES-2468:
------------------------------------
Description:
I'm seeing issues with the definition of Default Server and also have trouble connecting to default server.
1) Clean install of JBDS - Designer 9.0.1
2) Define a new Server. I'm using a DV610GA server. After definition is complete, the server does not get set as my 'Default Server'. When I attempt to set it from the Default Server area, it says I need to define a server. (I already have). Eventually if I do some other operations in JBDS, it will set itself.
3) Start the server. Open the server and set the teiidUser and password. Test the admin and JDBC connections. both say OK.
4) Now go to an imported model. Click the model > Modeling > Create Data Source. Now I get a dialog that says "A teiid connection to Default Server 'DV610GA' cannot be made. Please ensure the Default Server is set correctly and is started'.
In my case, the default server is set. And it is started.
5) I stopped and started the server. then was able to 'create data source'. i suspect that even though i was able to test the connections successfully - that state in my default server was not recognized correctly
