[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2560) Although DV 6.0(Teiid 8.4.1) is selected as teiid instance on JBDS, TD 9.0.1 uses grant-all in vdb.xml
by Barry LaFond (JIRA)

Barry LaFond reassigned TEIIDDES-2560:

> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Editors
> Affects Versions: 9.0.1

> Assignee: Barry LaFond
> Fix For: 9.2, 9.0.3

> The version of Teiid engine in the selected Teiid instance will be displayed on the VDB editor(window for editing user role). So user expects if DV 6.0(Teiid 8.4.1) is selected as a teiid instance, all of modification to a VDB will be optimized for DV 6.0.(Teiid 8.4.1). However grant-all attribute which should not be used for Teiid 8.4.1 is used. (The issue is reported at TEIIDDES-2353)

> When you create connection profile without password defined and try to add the password during import, TD ignores this password.
> You have to change/insert the password in the connection profile definition dialogue.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2563) Error trying to use Teiid Connection importer to import from a JDG source
by Van Halbert (JIRA)
Van Halbert commented on TEIIDDES-2563:
---------------------------------------
1) Yes, I used cli script.
2) no driver, just a resource-adapter
3) type: infinispan-cache-dsl (or infinispan-cache) , these are not installed in the server by default now due to the JDG dependencies.
Is Designer hard coding the types?

Barry LaFond commented on TEIIDDES-2563:
----------------------------------------
1) Assume you deployed a infinispan-remote-cache data source outside of Designer?
2) Is there supposed to be a driver for infinispan-remote-cache and it didn't show up in the importer?
3) What translator type is it? (i.e. I couldn't find an *infinispan* translator type in the importer)

Van Halbert edited comment on TEIIDDES-2563 at 6/19/15 12:32 PM:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
When I do the import, the data source says: infinispan-remote-cache but the driver is null, because it doesn't have a driver.
Something was introduced that caused a regression with this import option.
