Given the timeline of the CP and since I've backported the fix to 7.4.x, I'd
suggest creation of an update site .zip to provide the customer unofficially until the
release of the CP.

When a overridden translator is being used, if the user modifies the source model and
re-synchronizes the model the translator name is reset to original name.
