Barry,
So looking at the document linked to in the description, there looks to be 3 properties
though one is not used. Here are the properties in the referenced document:
1. DefaultBinding - with values of "HTTP", "SOAP11", or
"SOAP12" (default)
2. DefaultServiceMode - with values of "MESSAGE" or "PAYLOAD"
(default)
3. XMLParamName - not used
Here's some questions:
- Should the MED include the first 2 properties above or just the one you reference in the
description?
- What plugin should the MED reside?
- Do you have a MED prefix and namespace in find?
- Is the wizard the only way to apply this MED to the models? Or should the MED be
available also when the user manages model MEDS?
- Can you clarify what changes in the VDB editor are needed? When the user is editing the
translator overrides in the VDB editor, how do you think it should work? For example, what
if there are no translator overrides in the VDB when the model containing this new MED is
added?

TEIIDDES-1262 involves changing the way we consume SOAP web services by assisting users
in creating the required view procedures containing specialized SQL. One option that needs
to get available in the wizard is to specify or set a "Translator" properties.
In particular a "PAYLOAD/MESSAGE" value.
By adding this MED, we'll be able to attach Translator override properties to
specific source and view models and when added to a VDB, these props can be injected into
the TO props.
Teiid Documentation states: *DefaultServiceMode* The default service mode. For SOAP,
MESSAGE mode indicates that the request will contain the entire SOAP envelope and not just
the contents of the SOAP body.
