Did a quick debug-session on the properties view.
Selection is operating on 2 different PropertySheetViewers. One is created from the basic
Property Sheet view and the other is contributed via the
ModelExplorerResourceNavigator.getAdapter() method. This links Explorer to the properties
view.
Not sure how to perform the necessaryi edits on selection and focus without this though.

Using a relational source model, I found that I was not able to get the Restore Default
Value action to enable, even after changing from a default value. I changed Supports JOIN
from TRUE to FALSE for this experiment.
Barry indicated he'd add more technical detail to this Jira.
