Steven Hawkins commented on TEIIDDES-818:
-----------------------------------------
I had initially pasted the query text from the test. It contained a new line in one of
the timestamp literals - and since we are no longer automatically removing newlines it was
invalid sql. After correcting the sql and saving I got into the state shown in the
attachment.
After removing the first projected column and saving, the transformation sources showed up
appropriately and the reconsiler was enabled. Adding back the first column to the sql and
saving, I was in a good state. So this can be worked around, but it's definitely in
an invalid state initially. Maybe just a major issue, rather than critical?
validation error with mapping class
-----------------------------------
Key: TEIIDDES-818
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-818
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Modeling
Affects Versions: 7.1.1
Environment: Latest CR2
Reporter: Steven Hawkins
Priority: Critical
Attachments: Screenshot.png
The mapping class query is valid and no reconsiler action can be taken, but some
validation logic is complaining that there are more transformation columns than mapping
class columns. See attached.
