Barry LaFond resolved TEIIDDES-596.
-----------------------------------
Resolution: Done
Changed the Key listener to a Modify Listener. Added an initialization of the OK button to
"false".
Also tweaked the PreviewManager.getOrCreateDataSource() to handle Passwords more
elegantly.
- Check connection provider's properties first (data source property key)
- Then check for existing connection profile and it's password property
- If PWD == NULL after these checks, then query the user.
Preview's Missing Password Required dialog ignores last character
entered
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: TEIIDDES-596
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-596
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Dialogs, VDB & Execution
Affects Versions: 7.1
Environment: All, presumably
Reporter: Paul Nittel
Assignee: Barry LaFond
Fix For: 7.1.1
When previewing tables' data, the Missing Password Required dialog ignores the last
character entered. If your password is "1234", the password stored in the
-ds.xml file is "123". Oddly, the dialog's OK button is enabled when it
first appears (should it be--what if there's no password?). Upon entering the first
character, the button is disabled, then it re-enables when the second character is
entered.
