Paul Nittel commented on TEIIDDES-386:
--------------------------------------
I retried the experiment and created the model without the table having a NIS. Queried and
it failed. Added the NIS and it succeeded. Here's the error I received:
Error Code:942 Message:Remote org.teiid.core.TeiidProcessingException: Error Code:942
Message:Error Code:942 Message:'ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
' error executing statement(s): [Prepared Values: [] SQL: SELECT g_0.PART_ID,
g_0.PART_NAME, g_0.PART_COLOR, g_0.PART_WEIGHT FROM Gizmos g_0]
Add validation rule for missing names in source for physical tables

I created a physical model and added names in source for the columns, forgetting the
table. It validates OK. I wired it to a connector binding and tried to preview the data.
This failed with a rather verbose, ugly Oracle error. See attached screenshot.
Should/Can we add a new rule to validate the presence of all names in source for source
models.
(Once I defined the tables NIS, it worked fine.)
