Barry LaFond resolved TEIIDDES-520.
-----------------------------------
Resolution: Rejected
The notion of Model Visibility is now only a visual thing and does not affect actual data
access security.
A model check as "Not Visible" will not be returned by clients accessing VDB
metadata contents, so is in SQuirreL, for instance, you would NOT see that model but
COULD still execute queries on that model.
Data access is not determined by 1) entitlements turned on in your running Teiid, 2)
Permissions defined for models in your VDB and 3) table-level "supports update"
values.
Rejecting this bug.
Designer permits VDB to have no visible models - at least one should
be visible

Key: TEIIDDES-520
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-520
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: VDB & Execution
Affects Versions: 7.0
Environment: Fedora 12, JBDS 3.0.1, Teiid 7 Designer
Reporter: Paul Nittel
Assignee: Dan Florian
Fix For: 7.1.1
While testing model visibility, I saw I was able to create (and even deploy!) a VDB which
had no visible models. There needs to be at least one which is visible.
(At the least, the VDB should have an error when deployed.)
