Barry suggested I change the validation preference from INFO to IGNORE. It had the same
result--see below:
<validation-error path="ItemLookupResponseDocument/ItemLookupResponse"
severity="WARNING">"ItemLookupResponse" document root is
mapped to a Mapping Class. This is not recommended, unless return of a single row from
the transformation is guaranteed. (See validation Preferences)</validation-error>

Changed XML validation from warning to info - Correctly reflected in
Probs view, but VDB shows warning

Key: TEIIDDES-542
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-542
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Validation
Affects Versions: 7.1
Environment: Fedora 12, JDBS 3.0.1, Designer 7.1M1
Reporter: Paul Nittel
Assignee: John Verhaeg
Attachments: ValidationProb542_MPS.zip
During modeling exercise, I had a VDB with an XML document and the VDB would not deploy
to the server correctly. Ramesh indicated the Teiid version I was using may have a problem
with warnings in the VDB. As there was, in fact, a warning, I changed the validation to
change the warning to Info. After rebuilding the project, it looked fine. Deploying the
VDB failed again. Checking the VDB's contents, there was still a warning.
It appears the VDB validation is ignoring the preferences settings.
Model project set attached.
