Transformation editor should handle pasted SQL with embedded '/ufffc' characters
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: TEIIDDES-1095
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-1095
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Transformations
Affects Versions: 7.4
Reporter: Randall Hauch
Priority: Minor
Copying from PDF and pasting into the Transformation SQL field produced SQL with hidden
'/ufffc' characters, which were only identified via the following validation error
message after a fair amount of fussing with the pasted SQL:
{code}
The query is not parable.
Parsing error: Encountered "\ufffc\ufffc\ufffc\ufffc\ufffcdate" at line 2,
column 1.
Was expecting one of: ...
{code}
Apparently '/ufffc' is the OBJECT REPLACEMENT CHARACTER to facilitate the
insertion of objects outside the scope of a normal Unicode text stream. I would think this
could be removed from any pasted SQL, and probably including any such characters appearing
within literals.
