John Doyle resolved TEIIDDES-773.
---------------------------------
Resolution: Done
I added a Dialog that pops up to inform the user to validate their JDBC info if a
connection cannot be made. We must attempt to make the connection because an empty
password is a valid possibility for Teiid credentials.
Preview will fail quietly if the JDBC connection is not sucessfully
created.

Key: TEIIDDES-773
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-773
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: VDB & Execution
Affects Versions: 7.1.1, 7.2
Reporter: John Doyle
Assignee: John Doyle
Fix For: 7.1.1, 7.2
I first noted this in the case where you do not supply a JDBC password in Designer's
Teiid confguration. Initially I considered this invalid, Teiid can be configured this way
if a user desires. Because of this we can't consider JDBC credentials with no
password invalid.
We should however notify the user helpfully if a connection fails.
