Barry LaFond commented on TEIIDDES-2702:
----------------------------------------
The example in the what's new has the table NIS defined without D-Quotes, hence it
appears different. Below is a Books Authors table that was imported that d-quotes the
table NIS as well, so the resulting NIS's for columns and tables are single-quoted the
same. *NAMEINSOURCE '"AUTHOR_ID"'* and *NAMEINSOURCE
'"BOOKS"."AUTHORS"'*
{code}
CREATE FOREIGN TABLE AUTHORS (
AUTHOR_ID long NOT NULL OPTIONS(NAMEINSOURCE '"AUTHOR_ID"', NATIVE_TYPE
'BIGINT', CASE_SENSITIVE 'FALSE', FIXED_LENGTH 'TRUE', SEARCHABLE
'ALL_EXCEPT_LIKE'),
FIRSTNAME string(255) OPTIONS(NAMEINSOURCE '"FIRSTNAME"', NATIVE_TYPE
'VARCHAR'),
LASTNAME string(255) OPTIONS(NAMEINSOURCE '"LASTNAME"', NATIVE_TYPE
'VARCHAR'),
MIDDLEINIT string(255) OPTIONS(NAMEINSOURCE '"MIDDLEINIT"', NATIVE_TYPE
'VARCHAR'),
CONSTRAINT PK_AUTHORS PRIMARY KEY(AUTHOR_ID)
) OPTIONS(NAMEINSOURCE '"BOOKS"."AUTHORS"')
{code}
DynamicVDB NameInSource generation should be the same

Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Enhancement
Components: Import/Export
Reporter: Van Halbert
Assignee: Barry LaFond
Looking at the page for WhatsNewIn92 teiid Designer [1], it appears the NameInSource
quoting is generated differently for a column versus the table. The columns has double
quotes inside single tic's, where the table only has single tic's.
It would be good if all nameinsource generation is done the same.
