How are envisioning the redeploy? The user submits the new vdb.xml with metadata updates that gets merged with the current time version of the vdb.xml in the server? or if the vdb.xml is not supplied, then the metadata is supplied as part of cache purge/load operation from translator?
I feel we can very easily use vdb-reuse feature to get some of the goals accomplished.
