I remember that the old spec explicitly says that we need to use subclassing, but cannot find this paragraph anymore. So what does the spec require us to do? And what is Weld going to do?

The earliest I have is from 20081020 and it just says

"The manager is permitted to return an instance of a manager-generated subclass of the Web Bean implementation class, allowing interceptor and decorator bindings."
