I am the same thoughts with Jay. Why do you have a plan to change name WebBeans? I think WebBeans is a great.
Same with the Manager interface, I think there is no need to change Manager name. It did its job.

What are the complaints?  Is it "Web Beans" itself or the whole spec name?

Web Beans already has recognition.  I know I don't have the inside scoop, but I think changing the name would cause some confusion.
