I also faced this problem and took PR 1801 for a spin (inside a Wildfly 12), unfortunately to no avail, I still get the NPE. In my scenario my bean class is on the 4th level in the hierarchy and all base classes carry the generic type around. My bean class overwrites an abstract method not from its direct ancestor, but the ancestor's ancestor and adds the Transactional annotation.
I took a naive approach to testing by cloning the 3.0.3 branch, patching InterceptedSubclassFactory with the changes in the PR and replacing Wildfly's 3.0.3-core-impl jar with my patched version. |
