I took a glance at your PR and I have a very rough idea what is going on there and what are you trying to achieve.
However, to get better understanding and to eventually merge this, we will need a test/reproducer. I don't really feel comfortable merging untested PRs.
An automated test is probably out of question here (really complex, requires custom CL) but a simple reproducer and manual testing would do the trick.
Could you provide us with one, please?
