I managed to squeeze out more readable exception - looks like it's another reflection problem.
Caused by: java.lang.reflect.InaccessibleObjectException: Unable to make protected final java.lang.Class java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(java.lang.String,byte[],int,int,java.security.ProtectionDomain) throws java.lang.ClassFormatError accessible: module java.base does not "opens java.lang" to unnamed module @46c0ad2d

To fix this, we need to pass Java additional args (namely `--add-opens java.base/java.lang=ALL-UNNAMED`). This can be done via `export MAVEN_OPTS=--add-opens java.base/java.lang=ALL-UNNAMED` however, it would be better to pass it only to wro4j plugin. I raised another question regarding this. |
