Stuart, I successfully merged the as7/weld commits. After I tried to merge your initial commit for this issue on top of the as7/weld commits I observe several test failures. It seems resource injection works but not for all types of resources. The broken parts seem to be:
1) UserTransaction
2) Environment resources (e.g. Service service jboss.naming.context.java.comp.def43707-033d-40b3-98c8-cee2ea76e1f0.def43707-033d-40b3-98c8-cee2ea76e1f0.def43707-033d-40b3-98c8-cee2ea76e1f0.env.greeting not found)
Could you please take a look? The branch is at https://github.com/jharting/as7-weld-subsystem/tree/WELD-1008 . You'll need to build Weld core SNAPSHOT, the linked branch and run against AS7 master.
