Yes, I found out that org.jboss.weld.environment.jetty.JettyContainer is parsing javax.servlet.ServletContext.getServerInfo() instead of performing the class check. So I assume this string does not contain the Jetty version info in gwt hosted mode. Maybe we could improve the detection mechanism.
I will look into the second issue with "IllegalStateException: Singleton is not set".
