Looking at the changes I can't actually remember what else I wanted to add. I think the current changes should probably just be merged upstream, and if there are any problems I will deal with them as they arise.
I also noticed that there are a few newish commits in the AS7 weld subsystem that will need to be ported to the Weld 2.0 subsystem:
