Well, @Priority annotation must be placed on the bean class per the spec, see also 5.1.1. Declaring selected alternatives. Feel free to create a spec issue for this - it might be a nice enhancement.

I think we can consider implemeting this as a non-portable feature in one of the future versions of Weld.
