Grzegorz Demecki Well, the example refers to bean-discovery-mode="all" which was the default in CDI 1.0. I agree that it would be good to add an example for bean-discovery-mode="annotated" and highlight the difference. Again, feel free to create a new spec issue. CDI is open for contributions.

WRT the rest of your comment. You have a right to choose any framework which suits your needs. I'm quite sure the CDI community will NOT miss people with this approach.
