yes, you understand correctly. The behaviour is exactly as you described. The log message is in the log. Sorry I missed that line while going through the logs. I saw the line with Initialize Weld using ServletContainerInitializer and thought all is fine. (Maybe increase the log level from INFO to WARN ?)
