FYI nothing is set in stone so can continue to evolve but just in case others would like to add some feedback I have the following PR defining the admin client integration support for new features at different stability levels:
My overall intent here was to define something where features can come in it at lower stability levels without being blocked needing full support from the admin clients, the admin clients can then update if needed and the features then get promoted to a higher stability level once all our tooling is in place.
