^^^ was poorly phrased, as it asks the wrong question.  What I'm more looking for is "Do you think the site would be nicer, a better sense of community, etc if we posters had faces as well as names?"

BTW, I'd also created a zulip thread about this at https://wildfly.zulipchat.com/#narrow/stream/174184-wildfly-developers/topic/Blog.20post.20author.20pictures. I'll stop cross-posting now, and will just respond to input wherever it comes in, either here or there.

 

2) Really not want your picture displayed

I don't know how much effort it would be to display them again (properly sized, missing picture handled reasonably etc) so before anyone spends any time investigating I figure I'll get some data.

We used to display and still record other author data (bio, location info etc) but I'm not personally inclined to restore the display of that other data as it's prone to going out of date. An image might as well, but that seems less likely to be a problem, and if it is for someone a solution is just to send a new picture.
