Hello team,
we had a discussion with Rodney+Lincoln about a possibility to create educational videos
about creating Windup rules (rule phases, cath-all rules, all the conditions, all the
operations, java rules).
This would be mainly to save time spent teaching how to write rules and instead, link
people to these videos.
Or is webinar going to cover this topic well enough?

I think that having some short ~5m videos explaining how to write a few
types of rules in Windup would be a very useful thing to have. We could put
it on the website and in the docs.

plan Is to record it. If you all contribute ideas for what'd you'd like to see
covered, I'll try and make sure it makes it in.

Hey Brad,
I was mainly thinking about covering it in such a detail, that almost nobody would have a
need to contact us with some misunderstanding of how to write some specific rules.
Hopefully rules are stable enough and they are not going to change much in the future.
I don't know if you have enough time for all these things, but these are all the
things I can think of that are needed to help you keep smiling face while writing the
rules:
a) List of all the conditions (File, FileContent, XmlFile, JavaClass)
b) List of the main operations (Hint, Classification, XSLT). LineItem is not that much
important
c) Rule phases (at least MigrationPhase + PostMigrationPhase), so they understand what are
catch-all rules and why they need to be in a separate phase.
d) How to write a rule test
e) Maybe tell them about a potential of parameters {} and where they can put it
