I think we need to certify the one that exists or create our own that is better if the current one can not be reused/leveraged.  
I do not believe the current PushPlugin supports Websockets (real-time) push - just APNS/GCM.

My thinking is that we must have a Cordova Plugin strategy figured out - as that will be the most used aspect of our push services.
