well, it's all in the hand of those that write the mobile apps and
distribute them to the app-store.
If your app, Miguel, collects Geo-Data, it's up on you to be honest to the
user

NOTE: this feature does NOT increase the amount of metadata we store,
besides the things that you are already aware of (e.g. alias, category).
