Lukáš Fryč commented on ARQAJO-101:
-----------------------------------

Juraj, we could introduce auto-escaping feature which would be configurable.

My concerns is about this feature is complexity of escaping these characters.
If you will allow global configuration for this feature, you may lose ability to define certain jQuery/CSS selectors.

What could help you in Metamer test suite is own factory method for JQueryLocator which would do escaping, e.g. {{jqNoEsc}}.

>    Affects Versions: 1.0.0.CR2

> When I want to use JQuery selectors in my tests, I can not just type:
> {code}
> jq("input[id$=attributes:handleClassInput]");
> {code}
> since it will not be properly escaped, and thus will fail to create this JQuery Locator. I can avoid it by escaping it manually, but it will too much work for my big test suite, which already worked with RichFaces Selenium properly.
> The reason why *it works in RichFaces Selenium is that it uses JQuery v1.4.4 and Ajocado is using 1.5.*
> With 1.4.4 it works fine also in Ajocado.
