The build server use a special settings.xml that is not picked up when using Resolver by default. Since Seam2 is not in Maven Central the jboss.org nexus repos can not be found when resolving. 

A build-server profile should be setup that can pass a settings.xml from commandline to the surefire process. Same with the maven.repo.local, see tomcat containers for example: https://github.com/arquillian/arquillian-container-tomcat/blob/master/pom.xml#L100
