Good point.
I think the pull request approach will not work very well.
One alternative is to give r/w access to whoever wants in this group if you promise me to rebase as opposed to merge and keep commits focused and to the point :)

People interested in the experiment, give me your github login and I will add you to the read write group.

Note: the website is usually updated within 2 mins of a push to GitHub.
