[Section 1.2|http://docs.jboss.org/cdi/spec/2.0-PFD/cdi-spec.html#_relationship_to_other_specifications] of the specification does not describe a relationship to the {{javax.annotation}} specification.  IMHO this is relevant because the usage of [{{@Priority}}|http://docs.oracle.com/javaee/7/api/javax/annotation/Priority.html] as an ordering mechanism for observer methods relies on its being applicable to method parameters, which in version 1.2 of the {{javax.annotation}} specification it is not.
