The attached patch adds messages to all of the non-trivial exceptions (e.g., not including UnsupportedRepositoryOperationException on features we don't support or NoSuchElementExceptions) that aren't in flux (e.g., exceptions in SessionCache, LockExceptions).

I'll hold off on committing this until the SessionCache changes are in so as not to make that even more complicated.
