Attached patch that allows JcrRepository.login to accept instances of SimpleCredentials.  I have tested this locally using IDTrust as the JAAS implementation, but as the version of Xalan in IDTrust causes a 8 regressions in the JR TCK, I've not included IDTrust integration with the patch.
