Attached patch (DNA-457_repo_locks.patch) that adds comments to address the previous feedback and provides a graph-layer API for locking nodes in repositories that provide their own locking mechanism (e.g., SVN).  The patch also modifies the JCR locking code to propagate JCR locks to the graph layer.
