Additional note about the current BeanConfiguredAction implementation: 

We discovered that if you have an action that extends AbstractActionLifecycle then as expected it executes the lifecycle method 'initialise'. However if you then implement BeanConfiguredAction in order to easy the configuration of the action then the lifecycle method 'initialise' is no longer called.

To me, introducing the BeanConfiguredAction should not effect the call to the lifecycle methods.
