Any thoughts on how to do this?  There's a JavaConventions class in the Eclipse code that does this and more but it seems to require a valid Eclipse workspace.  That seems a bit heavy weight just to get the validation.  Another option would be to try and compile the code but again, that seems to heavy weight.

We could clone the JavaConventions code and use what we can.  There's a fair bit of work involved but it would give us validation for other Java constructs as well.

Finally, we could punt and just do some simple regex validation.
