Hi Lukman,

Based on your requirements, I would say that this probably would meet the
criteria for #1, "a solution either to an advanced engineering problem at
the time of writing a thesis" - It is a fairly complicated task, but
certainly achievable. George will be your primary point of contact for the
next 2 weeks. (I am on vacation at the moment.)

We have a "starter project" for IntelliJ integration here:

https://github.com/forge/intellij-idea-plugin

To get started, I would first look at these guides:

https://github.com/forge/core#jboss-forge-20
https://github.com/forge/jbosstools-forge#the-forge-tools-project
https://github.com/forge/furnace#furnace

This should give you an overview of the forge design and architecture. And
an example of our Eclipse integration, to which your IntelliJ integration
will likely be similar.

Also please join the #forge channel on irc.freenode.net chat. This is where
we have most discussions during the day (monday-friday, and sometimes on
weekends). But it is of course always a good idea to email forge-dev if
nobody is around on IRC. Forge-dev is also good for discussing topics that
are more complicated, and more people might want to join in :)

Cheers! Talk to you soon,
Lincoln

PS. How did you find out about our project?
