As both UISiteManagement and UIGroupNavigationManagement share the same UINavigationNodeSelector (the one displaying tree of nodes when u click on Edit Navigation). There must be no difference between portal navigation and group navigation. It is likely that node 's visibility (SYSTEM,..) has affect here
