All the internal code should use WSRP 2 specification. The code dealing with providing mandatory values required by WSRP 2 from WSRP 1 should be done in the WSRP 1 wrappers so that they're isolated. In particular, this is true for portletInstanceKey and namespacePrefix (note that this code has changed in recent commits).
