What I really would like to have is something which behaves like a real  
context
aware menu. The subproject you are in should be highlighted.
The way it is now, it is not obvious that these are links (in Opera it
even looks like a single image)

Same here. I was about to ask the same thing. If this is how it will be
it is really disappointing.

I could drop the quick links for Search, Validator and Metamodelgen as  
well.
I just added them, because Core had a quick link section.

According to Steve that's not possible. For example we don't have any links
to CI builds, but we cannot remove this menu item
